Meet our New Executive Director

We are thrilled to announce that Derek Schuessler has joined MissioCare Collective as our new Executive Director!

Derek brings with him a deep passion for global missions, a rich background in organizational leadership, and a heart for those serving on the front lines of cross-cultural ministry. With over a decade of experience in global missions, Derek understands the challenges and joys that come with living out a calling across cultures.

What drew Derek to MissioCare Collective is what fuels our very mission: a belief that no one called to serve should have to do it alone. Derek shares our conviction that long-term impact in mission requires relational member care—especially for those navigating transition, trauma, and the quiet struggles that often go unseen.

“Missionaries don’t just need strategies and resources—they need people walking with them” Derek said recently. “I’m honored to join a team that cares deeply for those carryiny the gospel to the hard places of the world”.

As Executive Director, Derek will guide MissioCare into its next chapter of growth—expanding our network, strengthening partnerships, and equipping others to come alongside global workers in deeper and more transformative ways.

Derek and his wife, Tori, live in Richmond, Texas, with their two young boys. When he’s not engaging in the rhythms of member care or overseeing ministry operations, you’ll likely find him investing in his local church community—or watching one of his many winning sports teams (Chiefs, Jayhawks, Thunder), or diving into a board game.
