Shepherd Care - The Shephed Who Sees

Shepherd Care - Part 1

Global workers are often seen as spiritual heroes—brave, sacrificial, and unwavering. But behind the calling and courage are real people with real needs. They face isolation, cultural stress, spiritual warfare, loss, and the quiet ache of being far from home. It’s in these realities that the tender care of God as our Shepherd becomes profoundly personal.

The Shepherd Who Sees

Before anyone else sees the struggle, God does.
In Genesis 16, Hagar called the Lord El Roi—“the God who sees me.” This same Shepherd sees the global worker who wakes up weary in an often-hostile culture, who grieves in silence after a loss, who doubts their impact after years of sowing.

Global workers are never out of God’s line of sight. He sees, not from a distance, but with compassion. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” His shepherd care begins with presence—He is near.

Because in the end, mission isn’t just about going—it's about abiding. And no one abides well without being cared for.

To every global worker: The Shepherd is with you. He sees you. He knows your name. He restores your soul. And He walks with you—every step of the way.
