Shepherd Care - The Shepherd Who Pursues
Shepherd Care - Part 4
The Shepherd Who Pursues
Even the most faithful servants can lose their footing. Global workers—like all of us—sometimes wander. Doubt creeps in. Disappointment weighs heavy. The presence of God feels distant. Shame or weariness may cause the heart to retreat in silence.
But the remarkable truth of the Shepherd is this: He doesn’t wait for us to find our way back. He comes after us.
Jesus told the story of the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one who has gone astray – (Matthew 18:10-13). That is His heart—for the weary one who is too exhausted to pray, for the discouraged one questioning their place, for the hidden one buried in shame or disillusionment.
His love is not earned by performance. It is relentless, restorative, and deeply personal.
To every global worker:
1) Your Shepherd is pursuing you.
2) He sees you.
3) He knows your name.
4) He restores your soul.
5) He walks with you—every step of the way.
At MissioCare Collective, we consider it a sacred calling to embody the Shepherd’s care in tangible ways. Through safe spaces, biblically grounded counsel, and intentional time to process, we seek to echo God’s heart for His people on mission. Our mission is to remind that we all serve a God who runs in hot pursuit of our affections.
