The Love That Will Not Let Go
The Love That Will Not Let Go
Contracts can be broken. Conditions can change. But God’s covenant love (His ḥesed)is different. It’s steadfast, loyal, and unshakable. It’s the kind of love that doesn’t quit when you fail or walk away. In the words of Sally Lloyd Jones and her Jesus Storybook Bible, it’s “a never-stopping, never-giving up, unbreaking, always and forever love.”
Yet here’s the question: Are we comfortable receiving that kind of love? Or do we secretly keep score - measuring our worth by performance, tallying wins and losses, living as if His favor depends on our faithfulness?
The psalmist reminds us, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end” (Lamentations 3:22). His love doesn’t hinge on our perfection. It flows from His character, not our consistency.
To every global worker:
His love is not earned. It’s given.
His mercy is new every morning.
His faithfulness outlasts your failures.
His arms are open when yours are empty.
His covenant kindness will never let you go.
